Gratillo

Terms

Draft — under legal review. Plain English on purpose.

What Gratillo is

Gratillo lets a group of colleagues build a send-off for someone: messages, short videos, and an optional pooled cash gift. Creating a send-off is free.

The gift

Contributions are a personal gift from colleagues to the recipient, given freely. They are not wages, salary, bonus or any payment from an employer.

Each contribution carries an all-in 5.5% fee, shown before you pay, covering card processing and Gratillo's service. Contributions are final once the send-off locks; before that, contact us for a refund.

Gift money is processed by Stripe and held in an account established for the recipient — Gratillo never holds your money. Recipients redeem as UK gift cards or by bank transfer (identity verification by Stripe applies to bank transfers).

Limits: £500 per contributor, £5,000 per send-off.

Content

Whoever writes a message or records a video keeps ownership of it and grants Gratillo the licence needed to store it, polish it, and show it to the recipient and the send-off's participants.

Keep it kind. We may remove content that is abusive or unlawful, and may close send-offs used for anything other than their purpose.

Messages and videos can be edited by their author until the send-off locks. After lock they're part of the recipient's keepsake.

The boring-but-important bits

We run the service with care but provide it as-is; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees we've charged on your send-off. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If we change them materially we'll say so on this page.
